Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Hi Swooners :-)
This week my "can't-wait-to-read" pre-publication selections are:
Expected release date: March 18, 2014
Links: Amazon / Barnes and Noble
Summary from Goodreads:
What if you’d been living your life as if you were
dying-only to find out that you had your whole future ahead of you?
When sixteen-year-old Alice is diagnosed with leukemia, her
prognosis is grim. To maximize the time she does have, she vows to spend her
final months righting wrongs-however she sees fit. She convinces her friend Harvey,
whom she knows has always had feelings for her, to help her with a crazy bucket
list that’s as much about revenge (humiliating her ex-boyfriend and getting
back at her arch nemesis) as it is about hope (doing something unexpectedly
kind for a stranger and reliving some childhood memories). But just when Alice’s
scores are settles, she goes into remission.
Now Alice is forced to face the consequences of all that she’s
said and done, as well as her true feelings for Harvey. But has she done
irreparable damage to the people around her, and to the one person who matters
most?
Why I'm waiting:
Well I can't deny that i've read some not-so-good reviews of this book, but i've also read a few good ones, so as of right now i'm keeping an open mind and waiting to see what this book will bring me.
I want to read this as well!!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Wednesday post.
Oh, I already read this one but didn't like it. :( I've also seen a couple of positive reviews, so I hope you enjoy this more than I did, Lexi!

Nice pick, I want to read this one too! I've read some mixed reviews, I guess we'll just have to see it for ourselves. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI actually really enjoyed it, I mean, I do agree with what's been said on the bad review front, because yeah, but I don't know, there was just something about it that I liked, it's definitely...original and interesting, put it that way. But I liked it, so hope you do! (Though, I totally don't blame you if you don't.) :)

This book was okay for me. I was not a fan of Alice. I hope you enjoy it. I cannot wait for BEA!
ReplyDeleteLeydy @OUaT & RCE
Last time I read about involving someone with cancer was The Fault in Our Stars. I don't know if I could handle another one. But it sounds like it could be good or bad, but hopefully good!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my WoW!
